My Teaching Method

For those of you with young children or those who have a child at an intermediate level my goal is to simply have your child become comfortable in the water and to feel safe and calm. They will learn water safety, how to float on their back, and how to tread water. I want the kids to enjoy being in the water and have fun this way they will want to come back and learn more each lesson. I find that using water toys and games helps attract children who are afraid and uneasy about this new experience to the water. Not only will they finish each lesson feeling happy and like they had a fun time, they will feel more and more comfortable with each lesson and will be swimming in no time.

For kids with more experience and who are a little more advanced we will be focusing on different strokes, swim styles, how to breathe properly, back stroke and breast stroke. This will also be a fun class where we will have five-ten minutes of playing games to encourage the kids and get them excited to come back and enjoy what they are learning.

At the end of the six week session on our last day your child will receive a goody bag. The goody bag will be a beach bag or pool bag with a few little items they can take to the pool. For example; beach towel, goggles, pool toys, etc.

This will be a great experience for your child and you,the parent will feel at ease knowing your child can swim, has more confidence and feels safe in and around the water. I have a very unique method of teaching. I pride myself for having a personal relationship with each child, and for providing a fun and educational lesson for each child I teach. I have had a ton of positive feedback and satisfied parents because of the fact that there child was excited to come back, enjoyed being there and improved with each lesson. In the end most kids end up learning how to swim and learn correct technique and style and if not at least they will feel comfortable and safe being in the water so if there ever was an incident they wouldn't panic and would know what to do.
